Setting up your workstation
Already got a home office or thinking of setting one up?
Either way, it is essential for your comfort, well being and efficiency that you configure your new workplace correctly.
Many ailments suffered by office workers, whether they are Display Screen Equipment (DSE) users or not, can be traced to poor posture. Adopting incorrect postures for long periods of time can lead to aches and pains.
The diagram below will assist you in attaining the correct posture when seated at your workstation.
To assist you further, we have a 15 point step-by-step ‘recipe’ to systematically establish how well your workstation ‘fits’ you - and where it doesn’t, what you should do to change it. Please click here to view.
Once you have undertaken the initial set-up of your computer based workstation you should still refer to this document from time to time to check that you are continuing to work safely.
