Measuring your room
To help us plan your space accurately we need to make sure that room is measured properly and shows any elements that may restrict where we can place any furntiure.
By following the steps below below we can create a plan and 3D view to help you visualise your new office. If you like, you can upload a digital picture of your room too and send it along with your dimensions.
- Sketch the outline of the room
- Show where the doors are and whether they open into the room or out of the room - does the door open to the left or to the right
- Mark on the window position(s)
- Draw in any cupboards, radiators or pillars
- Mark where power points, telephone lines or any other services that you require are
- Work your way around each wall measuring and marking each dimension onto your plan - use millimetres or centimetres for accuracy
- Measure the doors (including frame) and windows and how far they are along the wall from a fixed point - if windows are lower than 1metre(100cm) from the floor, make a note of the space between the floor and the window
- Measure any other elements that may restrict the planning of the furniture
- Note these measurements on your sketch
- Scan your image and upload it or fax it to our design team on 01491 833512 (if faxing, please ensure your name and contact details are included)
Here's an example: (this example is shown using millimetres, you can use centimetres is you prefer)
